Blendex Observes Two Anniversaries this Week
Forty-five years ago, on December 31, 1969, Eugene A. Pottinger left General Electric to join with a partner named Winston Shelton to develop a series of startup companies such as KY Molded Products, Engineering Prototype Services, Commercial Applicances, Quick Die and Collectramatic.
Thirty-five years ago on January 3, 1979 Gene Pottinger incorporated Blendex Company to create the hightest quality supplier of coating and batters to the food industry. He established this company because he was frustrated with the level of service he had seen from other companies, and wanted to create a different type of company - the kind he wanted to do business with when he was in the commercial cooking equipment business. Therefore, he created a company that puts customers first, responds to and protects the confidentiality relationship, has high intergrity to do the right thing, provides a quality product for a good value, and treats its own team members even better.
These were the core business tenets for Blendex in 1979 and this week, 35 years later, remain the core business tenets for all Blendex business holdings today.
Happy 35th Birthday Blendex!
Ronald W. Pottinger, CEO
